The early registration deadline is Monday, March 19. And here’s an insider tip: you don’t have to upload your images by Monday, just register for the contest.

Join our international community of photographers and share your portraits with our distinguished judges—PDN’s Amber Terranova, gallery owner Andrew Smith, photographer Aline Smithson, and Workshops director Reid Callanan. The winning images will be featured on Aline Smithson’s Lenscratch blogzine (see below), and the prizes are great. The Grand Prize alone is worth over $5,000!

We look forward to seeing how your PORTRAITS tell the stories of those around you.

»A Word from an Instructor

Aline Smithson, photographer and founder of Lenscratch, taught “The Big Picture” with us last week. This was Aline’s first time teaching with The Workshops, and she shared her experience in her Sunday, March 11 post to her blog. The sentiments she expresses, and the comments from her participants, capture so well why we do what do, and love it so much.

Thank you’s to Aline, and to all our instructors, participants, and friends.
