Spend a week with digital photography pioneer Stephen Johnson exploring the landscape of New Mexico with the extraordinary tools of the digital age. Blending traditional aesthetics with innovative techniques and deep digital experience, this workshop emphasizes our newfound freedom to capture what we see, rather than adjusting a photograph after the fact.
Our week of information and inspiration includes fieldwork in digital image capture, exposure, and composition; critiques; and lab sessions on Raw conversion, image processing, color management, printing, and presentation. The primary focus is on empowering participants to overcome technological hurdles and pursue their vision. We spend about one-third of class time in the field, two-thirds in the digital lab.
