Juror: Céline Cousteau
Céline Cousteau is founder and executive director of CauseCentric Productions, a non-profit organization creating cause-focused multi-media content. With a masters in International and Intercultural Management and fluency in three languages, Céline also creates independent documentaries including shorts such as Syrenus and Scars of Freedom. Her current major work is a multi-media project focused on indigenous tribes in the Brazilian Amazon to include an online interactive platform, full-length documentary and engagement campaign followed by a collaborative capacity-building initiative.
Daughter of ocean explorer and filmmaker Jean-Michel Cousteau and granddaughter of the legendary Jacques Yves Cousteau, Céline is a member of the Council on Oceans for the World Economic Forum. As creative director for a major ocean-themed event in Brazil based on her 2011 “Ocean Inspiration” event, Céline illustrated that ocean advocacy comes in all forms, from science to art, dance to filmmaking. Céline is a Guest Designer for Swarovski, the Sustainability Partner for Contiki Holidays, sits on the boards of Plant a Fish and Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation, and travels often as a public speaker.
