Our autumn stop for Eddie Soloway’s “Natural Eye” workshop series in our country’s beautiful urban parks is New York City’s Central Park. At the peak of autumn color! When Frederick Law Olmstead and Calvert Vaux designed the park in 1857, it must have been hard to comprehend how precious and iconic this oasis of 843 acres would become. A tranquil pause in the midst of one of the world’s biggest cities, where you find quiet waterways, delicate gardens, colorful wooded glens, graceful bridges, and even a zoo. Join us in New York to celebrate autumn color while immersing your photography in Eddie’s eye-opening ideas and practical insights into pushing your images in new directions. Calumet Photographic’s beautiful and spacious classroom in their Chelsea location provides our base for the workshop. The subway, a short walk away, takes us to the park in minutes. The weekend starts Friday evening, finishes late Sunday afternoon, and even coincides with PhotoPlus Expo 2012. Eddie weaves together many of the elements of his Santa Fe-based “Natural Eye” workshop, including activities designed to guide you to viewing the natural world with fresh eyes and fine-tuning technical ideas that help you capture what you see. For more on Eddie’s “A Natural Eye” workshops, please see the “A Natural Eye: The Summer Landscape” course description.
Includes tuition only. Lodging, transportation, and meals not included. For complete information contact Eddie at eddie@eddiesoloway.com or visit his web site, www.eddiesoloway.com. Please mention that you learned about this opportunity through Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.
