Learn how to enter the exciting world of corporate photography from a photographer who has walked those hallowed halls for over 30 years. David X. Tejada specializes in location work for corporate and annual report clients, and over the course of a week spent in the classroom and on location he shares what it takes to succeed in this demanding field. David guides us through the finer points of career choices, evaluating the relative merits of the freelance path versus the in-house photography position and helping us learn how to identify prospective clients and meet their needs. We explore shooting to a predetermined layout and dealing with designers and other creatives involved in that process. He takes us through address location logistics, including permits and producers, weather concerns, and scouting. We also tackle the subject of the road kit, determining what equipment is needed and how to pack. Finally, there’s the matter of money: cancellations, the pros and cons of creative fees and day rates, and other contract issues. And, of course, we take photographs and evaluate our images daily in individual and group critiques. Middle management and executive portraits are an important part of every corporate shoot, and knowing how to light them in a studio setting and on location is crucial. David has three decades of tricks and tips in store—don’t miss out! INSTRUCTOR(S)
