Morocco is a beautiful country where you feel warmly welcomed. In this land of irresistible allure and hospitality, we begin in Casablanca ("Play it again, Sam.") and then move on to Fes—that ancient city with its spectacular medina—where time seems to have stood still and photographs beckon around every corner. We walk twisting alleyways, full of craftsmen and vendors, with goods transported on donkeys. We visit centuries-old villages and sip mint tea, a symbol of the warm Moroccan generosity. Now imagine yourself surrounded by the immense beauty of the Sahara desert, photographing the pink sky at sunset. Next, in the dark of the morning, you are awakened by a Berber tribesman, hop aboard a camel, and, overlooking the ancient dunes, welcome in a breathtaking Saharan sunrise. We then travel to the city of drama, Marrakech, with its ramparts and colorful markets. We visit the famous Djemaa el-Fna Square, perhaps the greatest open-air spectacle in the world. We see the colors, hear the sounds, and feel the pulse of Morocco. Traveling back in time, we see snake charmers, magicians, acrobats, and dancers. Please join workshop leader, John Weiss, for this incredible cultural and photographic opportunity. It’s no wonder this amazing tour has regularly sold out.
