A Natural Eye: Our Urban Parks -- Balboa Park (San Diego)
with Eddie Soloway
February 3 - February 5, 2012

This workshop has already begun or is a past workshop.

One of America’s most spectacular urban parks, San Diego’s Balboa Park, is our first stop as we take Eddie Soloway’s “Natural Eye” workshop across the country to our beautiful urban parks. With land set aside in 1868, and now encompassing 1200 acres, Balboa Park is home to over a dozen museums, world-famous San Diego Zoo, and almost 20 distinctly different gardens. From the Japanese Friendship Garden to Palm Canyon, from the Lily Pond to the Botanical Building, there is a breathtaking diversity of animals, plants and architecture. Many of the original buildings represent Spanish-Renaissance style architecture, and were constructed for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition.

This photographic paradise is a perfect place to shake off the chill of winter, and immerse yourself in Eddie’s eye-opening ideas and practical insights into pushing your images of the natural world in new directions.

The weekends starts Friday evening and finishes late Sunday afternoon. Eddie weaves together many of the elements of his Santa Fe-based “Natural Eye” workshop, including activities designed to guide you to viewing the natural world with fresh eyes and fine-tuning technical ideas that help you capture what you see.

For a more on Eddie’s “A Natural Eye” workshops, please see the “A Natural Eye: The Spring Landscape” course description.

Includes tuition only. Lodging, transportation, and meals are not included. For complete information contact Eddie at eddie@eddiesoloway.com or visit his web site. Please mention that you learned about this opportunity through Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.
