This program is organized and operated by Cuba Cultural Travel, in consultation with, and endorsed by, the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops. “The Cuban Life” educational exchange is a rare opportunity to discover what it is to be authentically Cuban. Los Cubanos are magnetic, passionate, imaginative, without prejudice, always smiling, intelligent, sensual, talkative, honorable, friendly, tough, educated, resourceful, carefree, gossiping, open to the world, joking, sincere, crazy in love, and above all else devoted to family and proud to be Cubans. With a camera as your passport and Havana as your stunning backdrop, Leysis and Arien, with their family and friends as your hosts, offer a true people-to-people educational exchange. Each day focuses on a different aspect of Cuban life and provides unique opportunities to interact with Cubans from all walks of life and be exposed to compelling images behind the tourist facade. Cubans at work, at play, at home, on their way to someplace else, at the market, at leisure, at school, at parties, dancing, on the road, and living their lives with joy and passion are the focus of this educational exchange and adventure in la vida Cubana.
Includes roundtrip airfare from Miami to Havana, double accommodations for seven nights in Havana (single supplement add $700), breakfast daily plus two group dinners, airport transfers, and all visas and licenses.
