There is no more spectacular place to experience the autumnal landscape than Northern New Mexico. The combination of clear, blue skies with golden-hued aspens is a rich feast of stunning color, and a natural inspiration for the landscape photographer. This four-day workshop offers the appeal of experiencing this magnificent setting with a modern-day photography master as your guide. Stephen blends fieldwork with lectures, individual and group critiques, and extensive lab work. In four days you develop a solid foundation in making and using RAW files, then move through efficient image editing, and finally, learn what it takes to make well-crafted prints. Topics include proper digital exposure in the field, RAW processing, image editing, color management and fine art printing. Individual and group discussions also include deep exploration of print aesthetics in the digital age. Together, we look at our photographic process, ask much of our work, and ourselves and press on to make our photography as strong and as sensitive as possible. We pack our time together with information and inspiration, with our primary aim to empower each other to move past technological hurdles in pursuit of our individual vision. INSTRUCTOR(S)
