With today’s avalanche of digital cameras and imaging software, all suggesting that they are prerequisites to being a great photographer, it is easy to overlook the photographer’s role in the process. Close your eyes and think about the photographs that linger in your memory—images that stood out and made you take notice; perhaps even changed your life. The truly memorable images are those that were created from the intricate and ineffable dance between what you see, how you think, and what you feel. Join Eddie in a workshop experience designed to enhance your seeing—from what’s right in front of your eyes into the worlds of abstractions, reflections, layers, movement, and then deeper into the realm of concepts and imagination. In this workshop, we focus on the most important skill in photography—the ability to see beyond the apparent. We blend hands-on outdoor sessions photographing the inspiring environs of Santa Fe with indoor presentations, daily critiques, and Eddie’s one-on-one meetings with each participant. At the end of our week together, you walk away seeing more of the world around you, as well as knowing what it takes to translate your vision into a compelling and memorable image. INSTRUCTOR(S)
