|
This acclaimed workshop is intended for both advanced amateur and professional photographers who want to strengthen their ability to see and work in color. Through daily shooting assignments, critiques, and discussions, participants acquire techniques that enhance their perception of light and its effects on color, composition, texture, pattern, and design. While covering the use and quality of natural and artificial light, we primarily focus on investigating color from a personal perspective. Through the week, Arthur guides and inspires by shaping and refining individual styles while targeting creative fulfillment and commercial success as the ultimate objectives. The workshop begins with an intensive review of each participant’s images and a discussion of personal and career goals. Daily discussions address the aesthetics and techniques of color photography. Arthur leads group critiques and spends time with participants individually, reviewing their personal portfolios and discussing their aspirations. Daily assignments put classroom techniques into practice, and take advantage of the stunning light and color of Northern New Mexico. Participants leave at the end of the week with a greater awareness of their strengths, and an enhanced aesthetic awareness of light and color. INSTRUCTOR(S)
