It’s hard to make photographs without your camera. If you have a passion for photography but still don’t carry a camera with you most of the time—perhaps you leave your camera at home because you are not sure what to photograph—this workshop is the workshop for you! During our week together, you plan and photograph a personal project, using the language of photography to express your unique voice and visual style. Daily on-assignment field trips in Santa Fe focus your artistic goals and values. You develop an awareness of your photographic objectives, refine your artistic sensibilities and strengthen your visual storytelling and editing skills. With spirited group and one-on-one critiques, and intensive analysis of the work of the greatest photographers of the 21st century, Alexandra introduces us to the myriad of ways we communicate through photography. Our goal is to evolve from merely being a shutterbug to becoming a literate photographer—one able to communicate with the language of photography, and use it to express your unique visual style.
