Adobe Lightroom has become the leading tool for organizing and editing photos. This powerful program offers an inclusive suite of image management features that help you easily organize your photographs, flexibly rate and label them, and intuitively locate them using a wide range of metadata tags and information. This two-and-a-half day intensive introduces you to the Lightroom features specifically designed to simplify and smooth the photographer’s workflow. Instead of using several programs, you can do it all with Lightroom—everything from capture to print, to promoting your work using online galleries and slideshows. To get you started using Lightroom’s image management features, Cotton begins with a discussion of file management and structure. We learn about the Develop module and how to enhance your photos as well as when and why to use Photoshop. Next we learn the ins-and-outs of the Print module, and how to lay out images for use in self-publishing tools like Blurb. We also review the Slideshow and Web modules—great ways to showcase your work whether in person or online. Most importantly, you learn how to maximize your productivity with Lightroom, so you spend less time in front of the computer and more time behind the lens. INSTRUCTOR(S)
