Beginning Adobe Photoshop Intensive: Basic Image Enhancement
November 16 - November 18, 2010

This workshop has already begun or is a past workshop.

Dive quickly yet thoroughly into the most essential features of Photoshop. Maggie introduces participants to the Clone-Stamp, Healing Brush, Content Aware Fill and other retouching tools and techniques used to enhance almost any image. We process images in Adobe Camera Raw and examine the pros and cons of shooting in raw and JPEG file formats. We review the best techniques and shortcuts for image enhancing, color adjusting, black-and-white conversion and sharpening. Participants receive an introduction to the flexibility of Photoshop layers through clear and relevant exercises. The workshop includes hands-on demonstrations, step-by-step instruction and practical photographic application. By the end, you have the fundamental skills needed to improve your images and achieve quick results.

This workshop precedes the “Blurb Intensive: Creating Your Photographic Book” workshop and it is very beneficial for people relatively new to Photoshop to take prior to working with Blurb—where prepared images are essential.
