Eddie Soloway takes his popular “Natural Eye” workshop on the road this autumn to two iconic southwestern landscapes – New Mexico cliffs and Utah canyons.  For both excursions, the adventure begins late in the afternoon with an orientation, dinner, and a presentation of “Lighting Your Photographic Passion.” Over the next several days, Eddie weaves together many of the elements of his Santa Fe-based workshops, such as activities designed to open a natural eye and technical ideas that help participants capture what they see. The schedules include ample time to explore and photograph the beautiful surroundings.

The stunning scenery surrounding historic Ghost Ranch has inspired scores of painters, writers, and photographers, among them Georgia O’Keeffe, Paul Strand, Marsden Hartley, and Ansel Adams. The northern New Mexico countryside features some of the Southwest’s most spectacular cliffs, washed in a rainbow of colors and dotted with ancient twisted junipers, while stately cottonwoods line the banks of the Chama River.  We find added inspiration on a specially arranged tour of Georgia O’Keeffe’s renowned home and studio in nearby Abiquiu.
