"Rick Allred is a great teacher. He makes everything simple, clear, and easy to understand." Lauren Bennett, past participant, Adobe Photoshop

If you haven't jumped into digital workflow with both feet—it's time! Join Rick and discover how Lightroom and Photoshop can work together to get your images organized, make them easy to access, and make them “pop.”

This is Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop... and this is also an intensive. Rick condenses much of his four-day Lightroom and Photoshop workshop into this two-and-a-half-day intensive for folks who are ready for a power course on Adobe Lightroom and how it integrates with Photoshop.

Lightroom’s powerful organizing and enhancing tools give us quick, consistent control of our images. We explore its image rating and cataloging tools and learn practical techniques for image enhancement, including how to synchronize these enhancement settings so that it applies to multiple images automatically—a powerful tool that will save you hours of computer time. Photoshop steps in when images need further adjustments, retouching, or compositing. Rick explains the integration between Lightroom and Photoshop, the basic retouching tools in Photoshop, and how to keep your new changes stored back in Lightroom.

This workshop combines classroom time in The Workshops state-of-the-art digital lab with field session to create new images. Our goal is to streamline our photographic workflow using Lightroom with some Photoshop, and to discover how these two applications help minimize the time you spend on your computer and maximize the time you can devote to your true passion—photography!

Please note: This is a Lightroom intensive with a quick trip into Photoshop for retouching and composition. This is not a beginning Photoshop workshop.
