Imagine photographing a breathtaking sunrise from atop the Snowmass ski area with expansive mountain vistas and 14,000 foot peaks as your backdrop. Finding and capturing colorful moments in this mountain setting is the focus of this extraordinary six-day workshop.
At 7,000 feet above sea level and nestled in the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains, Snowmass is the picture-perfect place to heighten your awareness of seeing in color and recording those distinctive color moments. Join famed Malboro Man photographer Norm Clasen and spark your photographic passion with the creative imagery of the surrounding mountain and valley.
As we venture forth you create your own extraordinary images of fishing in the famous Frying Pan River, the majestic Maroon Bells, and the town of Aspen. And we top all this off with special events that include a rare Ferrari Car Show, two days of the colorful Snowmass Balloon Festival with balloons lit up on the ski slopes at night, and a very colorful wine festival.
Norm’s instruction on honing your skills, classroom time for image reviews and portfolios reviews—and the stunning setting of Snowmass—make this a workshop to be remembered.
Includes tuition, 6 nights lodging (double occupancy; single available for additional $450) in a condominium with full kitchen, and Welcome and Closing night dinners.
