►►SORRY, THIS WORKSHOP WILL NOT BE RUNNING.
Is what you see not what you get from your printer? In this two-day intensive, the mystery and complication of digital printmaking is simplified.
We start with the basics—our eyes—and discuss how the human brain sees and resolves color and luminosity. Cotton then breaks down the basics of color management, especially as it relates to obtaining accurate representations of your images in print form. We dive into Adobe Lightroom and discuss workflow in addition to in-depth ways of editing your images to get the most out of your prints. Through discussions about both color and black-and-white printing, participants gain a greater understanding of the concepts we need to be aware of while we are making our fine-art digital prints.
We get better acquainted with the range of possibilities available to the contemporary photographer, including Epson printers and all that they can do. The Epson printers in The Workshops state-of-the-art digital lab provide hands-on experience in printing your own work. We wrap our two days together with a discussion of next steps for fine-art digital printmaking and possibilities for your work as you move forward. You leave this intensive, hands-on experience with the know-how to make prints that accurately represent your artistic vision.
Tuition for this Intensive includes two lunches.
