Great photographic documentarians—from Atget to Cartier-Bresson, from Mary Ellen Mark to Sebastião Salgado—have found the extraordinary in what others would call ordinary … or perhaps not even notice at all. They walk the streets alert to a flash of color, to a sudden movement, to making sense of an unexpected visual ambiguity. They see with a distinctive clarity that captures the ever-changing intricacies and ironies of lives being lived. They reveal to us a world we’ve never seen. It was always right there, but until now we have not noticed.

In just five days, you stretch your limits, learn how to react with speed and precision, and record the ever-changing tapestries of life. You learn to anticipate and capture special moments. You master methods of increasing your concentration, allowing you to experience time as slowing down so you can see a wider array of visual relationships in the blink of an eye. You discover how to blend into a scene and become unnoticed, able to capture a unique moment while not intruding on it.

Join John as you explore your passion for street photography and hone your ability to see creatively. Through rigorous training, you uncover ways of finding that magic moment when events collide and people respond, revealing a world we could never conjure.
