The Project Workshop (A 25th Anniversary Special Offering!)
June 29 - July 4, 2014

This workshop has already begun or is a past workshop.

“The Project Workshop” is a nurturing retreat for photographers working on long-term personal projects. For many years, creative individuals gathered in Santa Fe for a week in the summer to further their ongoing projects, from fine art to documentary. This summer—in honor of our 25th anniversary and the recent 125th anniversary of National Geographic—we are reviving this popular tradition, and we invite you to join fellow photographers for camaraderie and support in achieving your vision.

In a seminar setting facilitated by Elizabeth Krist, an editor at National Geographic magazine, we meet daily to discuss, review, and inspire one another’s work. Our goal is to refine your projects and define future possibilities for exhibition and publication. The emphasis throughout is on each participant’s project, and everyone receives in-depth critiques from Elizabeth.

Just as personal projects sustain and define us as photographers, so too does “The Project Workshop.” Because it gives us a setting and community for the display and discussion of the most meaningful endeavors of our lives, it is an essential link between our hard work and the fulfillment of our dreams.
