A Natural Eye: The Fall Landscape
with Eddie Soloway
October 21 - October 24, 2013

This workshop has already begun or is a past workshop.

Eddie is a gem. He teaches a wonderful workshop full of inspiration and information. He is a great teacher and very supportive. I would take the same workshop again. ~ Zohra Kalinkawitz, past workshop participant

At the heart of any good photograph is a passion for the subject, and the artist’s ability to capture it with a unique vision. If you love photographing the outdoors, yet find that your images still look like pretty postcards, join Eddie Soloway for four days of viewing the natural world with fresh, new eyes. This workshop develops your natural eye first, and then improves your technical skills to match your vision; we spend as much time immersing ourselves in nature, sharpening our senses and changing our perspective as we do on developing new photographic skills.

New Mexico in autumn is a blaze of color. The yellow torch of high-mountain aspens is passed on to the cottonwoods lining the rivers and arroyos. Our high altitude clarity has long been a magnet for photographers, writers, and painters, and the multi-colored canyons gain intensity in early and late light. In environments as diverse as Ghost Ranch and the southern spine of the Rocky Mountains Eddie takes you through key steps to enriching your photographs of the natural world. Suddenly, you find yourself focusing less on objects and things, and more on the magic of moments and the essence of places.

Join Eddie for an inspiring blend of creative eye-opening activities, technical lessons, daily image reviews, and outdoor adventures. As you hear more and touch more, you begin to photograph with more sensitivity, patience, and serenity.
