“Special Edition” HD-SLR Video Workshop (presented by Nikon School)
with Scott Diussa, Mark Kettenhofen, Sara Wood
July 17 - July 20, 2013

This workshop has already begun or is a past workshop.

For still photographers, transitioning into video can be a challenge—but it can also open new creative paths for your photography and be lots of fun! As Marcel Proust said, “The voyage of discovery lies not in finding new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”

Under the creative and multi-talented guidance of Scott Diussa, Mark Kettenhofen, Mark Suban, and Sara Wood of Nikon Professional Services, you discover not only how to see moments with new eyes, but also how to develop a new level of creativity when capturing real-world video footage with Nikon HD-SLR cameras.

Over four fast-paced days, we work with various cinema-related creative tools, learn audio capture and interview techniques, and take part capturing real-world video footage—closing out the week using post-production techniques to edit a finished project. In the process, we go over HD-SLR video technical terms, examine the proper video settings on your HD-SLR camera, and discover ways to see moments in motion.

Whether you've never used a video-capable HD-SLR camera before or want to try the latest models (provided by Nikon), you discover how easy it is to create compelling videos. Computers are also provided for the video editing of the final project, as is an array of video tripods, microphones, and accessories.

Take advantage of a rich opportunity to experience the creation of a real-world video project, from beginning to end.

COLLEGE CREDIT AVAILABLE (Course Level 300): For an additional fee, participants may elect to receive one hour of college credit through Hastings College upon successful completion of this workshop.
