Join Nick Merrick, an internationally recognized master architectural photographer, on a location assignment to photograph a Santa Fe residence, and spend two dynamic days learning how to interpret the intent of the architect.

Nick and his assistant accompany participants on location to craft and complete an architectural assignment from start to finish. In a creative learning atmosphere, participants are fully engaged in Nick’s process as he conceptualizes the photography session and takes each image to completion. He “thinks out loud” during the entire assignment, chronicling his approach and techniques while giving you insights into his location choices, lens selection, composition, lighting decisions, and styling options.

During free-flowing question-and-answer discussions, we delve into the creative, technical, and business issues integral to architectural photography.  Although participants do not take photographs themselves during this two-day intensive, being immersed in Nick’s creative and problem-solving process provides an extremely valuable and inspirational learning experience.
