This start-from-scratch workshop takes you, the beginning photographer, from the basics of proper exposure to the ultimate goal of creating more compelling photographs. Over the course of four days, you build a solid technical foundation that enables you to make the photographs you have always wanted to make. You learn to be comfortable with your camera by understanding manual modes of exposure, the manipulation of depth of field, and the ground rules for using specific shutter speeds. Subsequent discussions cover such topics as focus, composition, lenses, natural light, and complex lighting situations. Sarah has you on the move throughout the workshop, practicing new skills daily during field trips in and around historic and picturesque Santa Fe. She encourages an energetic and creative atmosphere that builds confidence in photographic abilities while nurturing the development of a unique personal vision. You leave Santa Fe feeling energized and newly confident about your photography, encouraged and inspired by a collection of images that illustrate your technical and creative growth. INSTRUCTOR(S)
