Expect a cordial welcome in this land of irresistible allure and warm hospitality; Morocco is a beautiful country filled with friendly people. Then imagine yourself spending peaceful nights in the Sahara desert, being awakened in the dark of the morning by a Berber tribesman, and welcoming in a breathtaking Saharan sunrise. This workshop is one filled with photographic wonders and delights. We begin with an introduction in Casablanca, then move on to the city of drama, Marrakech. We visit the famous Djemaa el Fna Square, perhaps the greatest open-air spectacle in the world. Traveling back in time, we see snake charmers, magicians, acrobats, dancers, and storytellers. Brenda and Jed share ideas and tips for creating dynamic travel photographs, and provide tips on capturing a sense of place, photographing people, capturing candid moments, working with available light, and how to simplify your photographs to give them more impact. Join Brenda and Jed for this remarkable journey through Morocco. You’ll visit centuries-old villages and craftsmen’s workshops, share experiences with locals, and sip mint tea, the symbol of the warm, sincere Moroccan generosity. These are just some of the remarkable adventures awaiting you. Those that wish to extend their stay may travel with Brenda and Jed on a pre-trip extension to the seaside village of Essaouira.
Estimated. Includes tuition and land cost in Morocco. For complete information, including cost of the Essaouira extension, visit www.phototc.com or contact Strabo International Tour Company at (607) 756-8676. Group size is limited to 12. Please mention that you learned about this opportunity through the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.
