Doug is a wonderful instructor, very laid back and helps in ways that make lighting simple. While the main focus of the workshop is photographing people, and we have models to photograph as subjects, Doug also addresses the lighting principals necessary for beautifully photographing still lifes or food. Doug demonstrates a variety of lighting techniques, after which participants practice and play with the Workshops’ extensive inventory of professional lighting equipment, including strobes, soft boxes, and grid spots, to name a few. You acquire a comfortable knowledge of studio strobes and how to use them in any situation that may arise. If you want to learn about studio lighting this is the all-in-one comprehensive workshop for you. We examine practical applications and review the technical aspects of studio lighting to develop an understanding and appreciation of light and how it works. COLLEGE CREDIT AVAILABLE (Course Level 200): For an additional fee, participants may elect to receive one hour of college credit through Hastings College upon successful completion of this workshop. Those interested in earning credit should inquire with Santa Fe Photographic Workshops at the time of registration, 505-983-1400, Ext. 11. INSTRUCTOR(S)
