Ready, set, light! Within a couple of hours of starting this four-day workshop you are setting up strobes, metering, and photographing, and understanding that studio lighting is really very easy. Whether your primary interest is in photographing portraits or still life, this workshop covers the key basics of studio lighting.

While the main focus of the workshop is photographing people, and we have models to photograph as subjects, Doug also addresses the lighting principals necessary for beautifully photographing still lifes or food. Doug demonstrates a variety of lighting techniques, after which participants practice and play with the Workshops’ extensive inventory of professional lighting equipment, including strobes, soft boxes, and grid spots, to name a few. You acquire a comfortable knowledge of studio strobes and how to use them in any situation that may arise.
