Paul Mobley is a commercial photographer who graduated from Detroit's Center for Creative Studies and then moved to New York City to study portraiture. He assisted such prominent photographers as Annie Leibovitz, Steve Steigman, and David Langley before branching out on his own. Since then, Paul has worked with corporate, advertising, and editorial clients, including American Express, Sony, Citigroup, and Ford. He has also photographed the likes of celebrities from Roger Daltrey to Aretha Franklin.
American Farmer, his first book, began as a personal project when Paul started photographing farmers from his home state of Michigan. It grew into a body of work that led him on a three-year, nearly 100,000-mile journey capturing farmers from Alaska to Maine. His latest book, Everyday Heroes, is a collection of 50 extraordinary “ordinary” individuals who have made an astonishing difference in the lives of others. This is his fourth year teaching for the Workshops. Paul’s web site is www.paulmobleystudio.com.
