Jim Richardson has produced more than 40 stories for National Geographic. Over the last four decades, his photography has ranged from groundbreaking documentary work to cultural essays, pieces that cover scientific and environmental issues, and acclaimed landscapes. CBS News Sunday Morning and ABC’s Nightline have run profiles of his field work. Jim has traveled around the world five times, worked on all continents, and published eight books. Nikon named him a Legend Behind the Lens. Currently, he writes extensively and owns his own gallery. This is Jim’s third year teaching for The Workshops.
