Eduardo Rubiano, a former picture editor and digital imaging specialist at the National Geographic Society, is an internationally published independent photographer. He has lived and worked in Germany, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, and throughout the United States. His approach to the photographic process is deeply rooted in a quest to harness and direct each individual’s unique visual perception and potential by connecting with internal, experiential elements. A mentee of Magnum Photos veterans Burt Glinn, Dennis Stock and David Alan Harvey, he has developed a body of work heavily influenced by some of the great photojournalists of the last century while nurturing his own artistic vision. This is his second year teaching for The Workshops. His website is www.eduardorubiano.com.
