Denise Wolff is a photobook editor, known for her work with both contemporary and historic photography. She first started in photography as a writer for the photo-eye Booklist, a quarterly publication devoted to photobooks. She later joined Phaidon Press in London as the Commissioning Editor for Photography and is now a Senior Editor at Aperture Foundation in Manhattan. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work on many beautiful books, including monographs with such established photographers as Roger Ballen, Mary Ellen Mark, Martin Parr, and Stephen Shore, as well as first books, retrospectives, and large survey anthologies on a variety of subjects—from portraiture to photographic albums. This is Denise’s second year teaching for The Workshops.
