David Samuel Robbins

David Samuel Robbins is a fine art and documentary photographer, specializing in projects concerning traditional cultures and adventure travel. He has worked on assignment throughout the world for many leading publications, including the New York Times Magazine, National Geographic Adventure and National Geographic Traveler.

David has a particular expertise and affection for the Himalaya and Southeast Asia, regions he has explored over 50 times as a working photojournalist, cultural guide and photographic workshop instructor. David has served as a past tour leader and photography instructor for National Geographic Expeditions in Tibet and Bhutan.

His book Himalayan Odyssey: A Visual Journey Across the Great Range was the culmination of ten years’ work and over 2,000 miles of trekking in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, and India.
