Bob Carey is a New York–based photographer who specializes in conceptual and environmental portraiture. In 2003, he began working on The Tutu Project, a series of portraits of himself in a pink ballet skirt, and soon it went viral. The project was featured on The Today Show and written about in numerous media outlets, including The Washington Times, USA Today, and The Huffington Post. In 2012 Bob self-published Ballerina, a book to benefit The Carey Foundation, a non-profit that he and his wife, Linda, founded to support women diagnosed with breast cancer, survivors, and their families.
