Aaron Huey is a Seattle-based photojournalist who works primarily for National Geographic and Harper’s Magazine, where he is a contributing editor and the only photographer on the masthead. Seven years' worth of work on South Dakota's Pine Ridge Indian Reservation led to an August 2012 National Geographic cover story, “In the Spirit of Crazy Horse,” and the Pine Ridge project rose to prominence after Aaron was invited to give a lecture on the subject at a TED conference.
