Application Procedures

All scholarships are awarded as credits to be applied to Workshop expenses only. Cash awards are not issued. Winners will be responsible for lab fees, model fees, meals, accommodations, supplies, and travel expenses.

To guarantee and secure your space in the workshop of your choice, you must pay the $300 deposit (which includes the non-refundable $45 application) and follow the formal application and registration procedures for that workshop. If your first choice workshop is not in danger of filling by April 22, 2008, there is no need to register in advance, but scholarship winners will need to register and pay the deposit if they have not previously done so. Please call (505) 983-1400, ext. 11 to check workshop availability.

A separate set of scholarship materials is required for each scholarship you apply for. If you apply for more than one scholarship, you must send 20 images for each scholarship. Each scholarship category is judged separately.

Digital Submissions
The Workshops is now accepting digital submissions for all scholarships. All images should be saved on CD, no email entries will be accepted. Files must be in .JPEG or .TIFF format, fit to 1024 x 768 pixels at 72 dpi and each image must be submitted as a separate file (no Powerpoint or iPhoto presentations). Each image should include your name and image title in the file name. To sequence digital images, include a sequence number in the file name, ex. 01_YourName_ImageTitle, 02_YourName_ImageTitle ….020_ YourName_ImageTitle. Please save images as RGB, ICC profile, Adobe RGB (1998), or Greyscale ICC profile Dot Gain 20%.

Your letter of intent must be in Word format or a PDF. The CD should be labeled with your contact information and the scholarship name. No Web sites, books, or posters will be reviewed.
