The deadline for Summer/Fall 2011 scholarship applications is next Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
We offer six $1,000 scholarships— two awarded by Nikon and four by the Workshops*—for workshops running between June and December 2011. There are also two unique, $825 scholarships offered for the Summer/Fall 2011 season—the Rick Allred Scholarship for Young Photographers. (*Special Note: Workshops scholarships are partially funded by sales of our Inspirational Series DVD's.)

Nikon recently talked with three photographers—Jennifer Spelman, David X. Tejada, and Arthur Meyerson—who teach at the Santa Fe Workshops.
They covered a number of ideas and topics in the interviews, including what can be called the "teachable moment," that moment when, as an instructor or as a student, you realize that something is coming your way, something important.

Many of our alumni, in addition to returning often, go on to accomplish amazing things. Raul Touzon, Jennifer Spelman, Terry Hauschulz, and Jennifer Davidson, among others, are now Workshops instructors. Rebecca Drobis and Ryan Heffernan were chosen by PDN for their "PDN's 30 2011." And Rosi Calderón was recently selected by Verve Gallery of Photography to exhibit in their Online Emerging Artist Exhibition.
