»Look No Further Than Your Own BACKYARD
© Courtney Reardon
Our fall photo contest is now open! The theme is BACKYARD. Whether it’s green grass and sprinklers, city streets, or the water’s edge, backyards are familiar places, rich with discoveries and stories. In color or in black-and-white, using tools that range from digital and film cameras to alternative processes, to iPhones—show us your impressions of your little corner of the world.
Join our international community of photographers and share your images with our distinguished judges: Jennifer Schlesinger Hanson, Director, VERVE Gallery of Photography; Jonathan Blaustein, Writer, New York Times Lens blog and A Photo Editor blog; Arthur Meyerson, Photographer; and Reid Callanan, Director, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.
The Workshops is grateful to our educational partners and sponsors who have contributed to an impressive prize list with a total value of over $8,500. The Grand Prize alone is valued at more than $4,000!
The early submission deadline is October 15, fee is $30 for 3 images. BACKYARD closes November 19, 2013.
