Quote of the Month

"A Ming vase can be well-designed and well-made and is beautiful for that reason alone. I don't think this can be true for photography. Unless there is something a little incomplete and a little strange, it will simply look like a copy of something pretty. We won't take an interest in it."

-John Loengard, "Pictures Under Discussion"

Marty celebrates with some of her Workshop buddies
© Nerissa Escanlar
(Mocha's mom)
The Santa Fe Workshops has been honored to have Marty Swanson on staff for the past 14 years. As the Marketing and Public Relations manager, she has been vital to the success of the Workshops over the years. The Workshops staff celebrated her retirement with a dinner and her very own "Career in Review" slideshow. The night was filled with many a laughs (and a few tears).

We'll miss you, Marty!

Ireland - A Photographic and Cultural Workshop in County Mayo
Led by John Weiss
May 23 - June 2 or October 20-30

Western Ireland is a land of remarkable light, rugged natural beauty, and warm people eager to share their rich heritage. From our home base in County Mayo, where traditional culture still thrives, we travel south to Connemara and north to Achill Island, photographing tiny villages, hidden beaches, ancient abbeys, and druid woods. We discover a land and culture throughliving it, and touch the spirit and soul of Ireland as few visitors ever experience it. Join John Weiss and Strabo Tours for a very personal experience of this land and its culture.

Ireland is our most popular destination and there are a few openings still available for both trips. Click HERE for further information and registration details.
