After many, many requests over the years from our workshop participants, we offered our first-ever photography competition, FAMILY, during the summer of 2010. There proved to be great interest in being acknowledged and honored by the Santa Fe Workshops through an image competition, and our second and third contests, LIGHT and SUMMER, ran in 2011. The contests have inspired 3,000 people from over 40 countries to enter over 5,000 images.
Our contests have gained such positive momentum we will now be offering them on a semi-annual basis. Our first contest for 2012 was PORTRAITS (February 16 through April 30.) OUTSIDE is our second contest for 2012, running September 19–November 13.
